Boat Club in Sag Harbor

D29-20

In Sag Harbor, boaters on Mill Creek and Peconic Bay want water access without the work of ownership. That's the whole idea behind a boat club. It's why Yacht Hampton Boating Club & Marina built two different membership paths instead of one. Our cove marina sits on Mill Creek in Noyac, a site that's been a marina since 1953 and became the home base of the Yacht Hampton fleet and FleetShare Boat Club program after the Yacht Hampton group took it over in 2023. This page covers both boat club options we offer: Boating Club Membership and Fleet Share Boat Club Membership. Read both sections below, then reach out and we'll help you figure out which one fits how you want to spend your time on the water. The short version: one keeps you close to home on Mill Creek, the other opens up a bigger rotating fleet. Contact us to ask which membership fits your boating plans.

Boating Club Membership Gives You Access to Boats at Mill Creek

You want to be on the water most weekends. But you don't want to think about winter storage, engine trouble, or where the boat sits when you're not using it. That's the problem Boating Club Membership solves, plain and simple. It's our single-location model, built around the boats we keep here at our Mill Creek marina in Noyac.

For a lot of members, this is what "boat club" means in their head. You join, you book a boat, you go out on Peconic Bay or wherever the day takes you - and you hand the keys back when you're done. No haul-outs to schedule. No maintenance calls. No off-season storage puzzle to solve every October.

What comes with it, generally speaking:

  • Access to the boats based at our Mill Creek marina
  • A reservation process for booking time on the water
  • Boats kept and serviced right here at the marina
  • One home base, so you always know where you're launching from

If you like the idea of a home port and boats you get to know, this is the simpler path of the two.

Fleet Share Boat Club Membership Opens Up a Larger Boat Fleet

What if one marina's worth of boats isn't quite enough for you? That's the question Fleet Share Boat Club Membership answers. Standard Boating Club Membership keeps you tied to the boats docked here at Mill Creek. FleetShare gives you shared access to a bigger, rotating fleet - the branded program that gives Yacht Hampton its name.

Here's the real difference. Standard membership is access to boats here. FleetShare is shared access to more boats, more variety, across the program. Some members want a quiet morning cruise one week and a full boat for the whole family the next. FleetShare tends to fit that pattern better, - people who like switching things up rarely go back to one boat.

A few things members ask about most:

  • How fleet availability works across the program
  • What kinds of boats are typically in rotation
  • How booking differs from the standard club model

We're also the New York distributor for Rand and Vision Marine electric boats, so the fleet reflects some of that range (quiet, clean, and a little different from the usual gas-powered lineup). If you want boating without the ownership hassle, and you like having options, this is worth a real conversation.
