Fighting Chance

The owner of Yacht Hampton Boating Club & Marina, Joseph Ialacci, is a resident of Sag Harbor and a proud board member of Fighting Chance Cancer Charity based in Sag Harbor. He recently won it’s annual award for his contributions and generosity as he donates his entire fleet of boats to charity each year.

"He Came Through"

Apr 27, 2021

Those down around Long Wharf on Saturday afternoon, June 11, may well have heard the happy sounds of a steel band and seen guests boarding motor yachts, sizes 40 to 60 feet.

What they were observing was the start of the second annual Flotilla of Hope, whose fleet goes around Shelter Island, offering guests unparalleled views, a chance to be out in the water, and delicious nibbles and beer. And all for a good cause — benefiting Fighting Chance, the East End’s free cancer counseling center, based in Sag Harbor.

So many deserve credit for taking part in this event, but as chairman of Fighting Chance, I am writing with a special “shout out” to Joe Ialacci, who operates the Yacht Hampton charter business at the wharf.

Joe took part last year, contributed one of his boats and became a director of our charity. This year, he agreed to contribute two boats (both with captains). But as more guests registered, he added a third boat, and, at the last minute, a fourth boat. He came through in a pinch, and I am grateful, as is everyone else who worked to make the event a tremendous success.

See you next summer.

Helping survivors of domestic violence.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Marcelle Rothenberg and I am the Executive Director of Cocoon Project.  Cocoon Project is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to assist survivors of domestic violence.  We are based on the East End of Long Island and work exclusively with a local domestic violence shelter.

This letter is in support of Joe Ialacci and Yacht Hampton, which has been a critical partner to Cocoon Project over the last few years. Since day one, Joe has been very sympathetic to our cause and was touched due to his upringing. As our first and primary supporter, he was always enthusiastic, an advocate, and continually went out of his way to help in any way possible. Quite simply, we can always depend on Joe's support.

Our partnership with Yacht Hampton allowed us to raise the initial funds required to get our organization started, and has since provided part-time employment for our clients. Along with Joe and Yacht Hampton’s exposure, we’ve been able to directly impact the lives of eighty-one women and children in a time of need. In all of my experiences with Joe, his wonderful staff and his Yacht Hampton clientele, they have all been supportive, generous and most importantly, incredibly kind.

We hope his business will continue to prosper since his continued support directly impacts the success of our fundraising efforts. These efforts help Cocoon Project to positively effect more lives by helping to create a comfortable home for domestic violence survivors to heal and transform.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if I can be further assistance.

Best,

Marcelle

Highways in Suffolk County

Owner Joseph Ialacci and the Yacht Hampton team adopted four highways in Suffolk County and participated in a deep clean of Long Beach Road. They covered 40 feet on each side of the road to the waterline to ensure maximum trash removal. Joe and the team collected 20+ bags of trash to help beautify Long Beach Road.

Sen Restaurant

Owner Joseph Ialacci and partner Michael Newmark provided a company day cruise on one of Yacht Hampton's boats to a great member of the Sag Harbor community, Sen Restarant and the Matsuoka Family. Jessie and his dad had a priceless and incredible day, so incredible he took the time to write the kindest thank you letter. He used this memory as the picture to celebrate his wonderful father's life when he recently passed.

Hi Michael,

I apologize for the delay in reaching out, but I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you and your wonderful Jubilance team for an absolutely amazing time. The event was a resounding success, myself and my team couldn't have been happier with the exceptional experience. It was truly a memorable occasion, and I can't express enough appreciation for your efforts in making it all possible. I'm eager to see this become an annual tradition!

I'm sharing a sample of our 2023 Summer Ocean Package. It seems there's a special connection between people being near the water and craving sushi — always a popular choice!

Let's definitely keep in touch. You know where to reach me!

Staff Writer on Jun 19, 2023

The Express News Group returned to the Breakwater Yacht Club in Sag Harbor on Thursday, June 15, with its first Spotlight on Boating Launch Party and Trade Show since before the pandemic. Providing Local Jobs

Captain Sean Connor (pictured) is considered almost a son to Yacht Hampton owner, Joseph Ialacci. He has run 600+ boat rentals out of Mill Creek Marina and Hidden Cove for over 6 years and transgressed that inlet 1200 times. He has a deep understanding of the rules of the road/waterways.

Joe's daughter, Joelle (pictured), works on his boats as a stewardess while home from college from Wake Forest University. Joe's other daughter performed sales functions while she is home from the University of Michigan.

Yacht Hampton has many stories like this, where it provides livelihoods for 30+ employees and their families.

Memorializing A Dear Fallen Captain

From: Laura Eisman

To Whom it may concern,

I am writing this on behalf of my experience with Joe Ialacci and Yacht Hampton. Recently, Joe offered the catamaran Jubilance to host a remembrance for my long-time boyfriend Kent Feuerring who passed away, and who also worked for Joe at Yacht Hampton. The handling and facilitation of this event should make apparent Joe's intentions for the use of his boats and marina. The experience could not have been further from a party boat or booze cruise as it has been referred to.

What Joe Ialacci and Yacht Hampton bring to the community is an opportunity for a well-planned, elegant gathering of friends. Alcohol was at a minimum, and the cruise allowed for the appreciation of the natural beauty of the Hamptons which is of great benefit to both locals and visitors. The caliber of customers that Joe engages with are sophisticated and are looking for quiet enjoyment. I respect Joe's business practices and trust that he will do all he can to preserve peacefulness in the neighborhood and solve any concerns brought forward from his neighbors.

I am available for further comment.

Respectfully,

Laura Eisman

Big Brother Big Sisters

Owner Joseph Ialacci partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island by offering them an adventure on the water on Yacht Hampton's vessels. Joe has a love and history of mentoring youth by providing direction and sharing life lessons. He plans to work with Big Brother Big Sister of Long Island to cultivate these important local relationships and provide children with access to water activities and enriching experiences.

Good Intentions

Hi Joe,

I saw the article in 27east, I’m so sorry that happened to you. The words “Booze cruise” and Joe Ialacci shouldn’t be paired together in the papers like that. I can attest that if anyone of the nay-sayers got to know you and understand your intentions, people wouldn’t say such things. I think your idea is fantastic, who wouldn’t enjoy a glass of rose while they await their boat. People expect certain amenities and I know you’ll be able to provide such with class and sophistication. FYI: you might like this, just last week a client of mine was advised, not just by me but by another investor, to keep an eye on Pine Neck, there’s rumor your Marina is going to improve the neighborhood. Hopefully your neighbors will come around when they see the property values increase. You just need time!

Sincerely,

Carol
