Why Old Whalers Church Area Boaters Choose This Marina

Quick Summary:

Folks near Old Whalers Church come to us in Noyac for slips, boat club membership, and electric boats. No ownership headaches. Our marina near Old Whalers Church sits in a quiet cove on Mill Creek. It is about a 7 to 10 minute drive from the church steeple.

The steeple on Union Street has been the tallest thing in Sag Harbor for generations. If you live in one of the old whaling captain's houses nearby, you know the village runs on history and habit. So a lot of our members skip the crowded village docks. They drive the few minutes out to us in Noyac instead.

We are not trying to be another marina crammed into the harbor. Yacht Hampton sits on a protected cove on Mill Creek, in the spot locals call Hidden Cove. We keep 26 slips, with just 2 set aside for transient boats. Maximum draft is 5 feet, which suits the daysailers and center consoles that church-area boaters run. The shallow, sheltered water is an easy trade for a few extra minutes on the road.

A lot of our Sag Harbor members join FleetShare instead of buying a second boat to sit in a slip all winter. You get access to boats, use them when you want, and skip the maintenance calls. Curious about electric boating? We are the New York distributor for Rand and Vision Marine, so you can see one before deciding it is your next boat.

  • Boat Club and FleetShare membership for boaters who want flexibility over ownership.
  • Rand and Vision Marine electric boats available to see and buy.
  • Slips with power, high-pressure water, and high-speed WiFi, and a 5-foot max draft.
  • Winter boat storage so your boat is ready when spring hits the water again.

Winter is when we get the most calls from the church neighborhood. Boats need to come out, get stored, and get ready for spring launch. We handle winter storage and shrink wrapping right here at the marina. We give free estimates on both dockage and winter storage, no pressure to decide on the spot.

The Yacht Hampton group and owner Joe Ialacci took the marina over in June 2023, and we are open 24 hours because boating does not stop at 5 p.m.

Getting to the Marina from Old Whalers Church

Leaving Old Whalers Church on Union Street, make your way down to Main Street and out of the village. The drive to our marina near Old Whalers Church at 51 Pine Neck Ave runs about 3 miles. It takes 7 to 10 minutes.

  1. From the village, head west out of Sag Harbor on Noyac Road and follow it along the bay.
  2. Stay on Noyac Road for about 2.5 miles as it curves past homes and water views.
  3. Near Cromer's Market, turn right onto Pine Neck Ave.
  4. Follow Pine Neck Ave to the marina entrance at 51 Pine Neck Ave. Our signs mark the driveway.

During peak summer weekends, when day-trippers fill the village, plan for a few extra minutes near Main Street. The extra time comes from pedestrian crossings and cars circling for parking, not from the route itself.

Once you arrive, parking sits right next to the docks, and check-in is with our team at the marina. If you are arriving by car to meet a boat, let us know in advance and we will point you to the right slip. The church and the marina are too far apart to walk comfortably, so plan on driving between them.

What Sets Our Cove Apart from the Village Harbor

People walking past the steeple on a Saturday morning have no idea a full working marina sits a short drive away in Noyac. We hear it all the time from members near Union Street. They want dockage that feels local, without the crowded slips right in the village harbor.

Our cove stays tucked away from the boat traffic that piles up near the village in July and August. The docks were rebuilt in Brazilian IPE wood in 2023. Every slip has power, high-pressure water, and high-speed WiFi. The Mediterranean-inspired Beach Club gives you a place to relax before or after a day out.

  • New IPE docks built for easier boarding and steadier footing at low tide.
  • Marina-wide WiFi so you can check the weather or answer email dockside.
  • A Mediterranean-inspired Beach Club for relaxing before or after a day on the water.
  • FleetShare and Boat Club membership options for owning less and boating more.
  • Rand and Vision Marine electric boats, since we are the New York distributor.

Winter is where we most want to help residents near the church. Storing a boat close to home matters when the season turns. We handle winter storage and shrink wrapping on site.
